Кузнецов, Сергей

Sergey Kuznetsov was born in Moscow in 1966. In the late ’90s he became a leading Russian film and pop-culture critic, and achieved prominence as one of the pioneers of the Internet in Russia. He has actively contributed to magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Playboy, Vogue and L'Officiel. In 2001 he became the first Russian journalist to receive a Knight Fellow scholarship from Stanford University. Kuznetsov is the author of The Nineties: A Fairy Tale, a detective trilogy, and NO, a futuristic novel (together with Linor Goralik).

His book BUTTERFLY SKIN has acquired cult status in Russia and has been translated into German (Heyne), rights sold to the Italian and Dutch. His story Moscow Reincarnations was included into the Moscow Noir anthology (Akashic Books, 2010).

He lives in Moscow with his wife and two children.
